Feelings dictate actions. Introducing your character's feelings engages the reader. Why do they feel like that? How do they act on those feelings?
Start a story with one of the following:
- I feel like someone is watching me.
- I feel like ending it all right here, right now.
- I feel this might be the break I've been waiting for.
- I feel...(choose your own).
