No...the reader needs to "feel" it. Something like...his gut twisted into a knot and pulled until he couldn't breath. A cold clammy film painted his skin...
I try to exercise that creative side of the brain everyday. Learning to take what flows through the brain and put it on paper in a way that conveys an image--that takes practice.
A great way to exercise and hone this talent is writing prompts. :)

I write ideas and have my secretary fix the grammar. I know, I know....lol.
Between my gratitude journal, the positives I write and my blogging I would have to quit my job to write much more.
